Fall continued the pattern of bouncing back and forth between Nine Mile Falls and Seattle, Washington. Most pictures are of local creatures from those areas. I did take a day to visit the Skagit and Sammish Flats north of Seattle. It was great to find three short-eared owls hunting the fields of the West 90 along with the harriers. It is amazing to see how many times the harriers steal the short-eared owl's catches. I don't know how the harriers feed themselves without the owls around. Watching the morning flyover of swans at Rawlins Road was a treat as well.
